JOHN LOFTIN and others 

        Vs.

WILLIAM LOFTIN 

Petition for sale of land 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court  that the defendant, WILLIAM 
LOFTIN, are not inhabitants of this State. It is therefore ordered by the 
Court that publication be made for six weeks  in The Patriot, a newspaper 
printed in Greensborough,   for the said defendants to be and appear at our 
next Court to be held for the County of Davidson in the Court House at 
Lexington on the 1st Monday after the 4th Monday in March1851, then and there 
to plead answer or demur to this issue, or judgment will be taken pro confesso 
and heard ex parte as to him.
  Witness, HENRY MCDUSENBERRY, Clerk & Master of said Court at office in 
Lexington on  the 21ST  day of  November, 1850
