Deaths In Army
The Standard of Raleigh of Aug. 14, 1861
DEATHS IN THE ARMY
-- The following deaths have recently occurred in our Camps in Virginia among 
the soldiers:
Deaths --At Yorktown, on the 23rd July, JOSEPH A. JOHNSON of Edgecombe; ----- 
STALLING of Franklin, who accidently shot self through head on the 24th; MARCUS
ALSOBROOK, 26th; J.J. COKER, 26th; SAM'L L. ARRINGTON, all of Halifax; on the 
27th at Suffolk: GEORGE T. LEWIS of Davidson; and on the 6th, R.B. PATTERSON 
of Cleveland County; at Petersburg on the 4th, THOS. COTTELL of Duplin County.

This has been posted to all the counties named.
