The Semi-Weekly Messenger (Wilmington NC) March 4, 1898
Winston Journal: Near Hanes, Davidson county, on the 14th of this month, the 6
year old girl of E J Sink was seriously, if not fatally burned. She was in the
woods where her father was cutting timber and her clothes ignited from a fire he
had built there.
