DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - C. Armon Hunt, 12 Oct 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- ARMON HUNT DENTON - C. Armon Hunt, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002 at the Brian Center in Lexington. He was the son of the late Charlie A. and Annie Laura Pace Hunt, and husband of the late Adelaide Johnston Hunt. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert A. Hunt and James A. Hunt; and a brother, Dr. E.M. Hunt. A member of Central United Methodist Church, he was granted a life membership in the North Carolina Lions Foundation and was a past president for over 50 years. He was a farmer and had worked as a rural mail carrier and deputy sheriff. He later worked as an insurance agent for Mutual of Omaha. Survivors include three sons, Charlie A. Hunt Jr. of Spruce Pine, David A. Hunt of Mocksville, and Paul A. Hunt of Haw River; one daughter, Genie Trickie of Denton; a sister, Virgie Rowland of Crossville, TN; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Central United Methodist Church. Revs. Joe Collins and Glenn Everette officiated. Burial was in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church Beautification Fund, P.O.
