Descendant of John Thomas, Founder of Thomasville, Dies 

Nellie Davis Lee passed Monday, January 3, 2011. A celebration service was 
held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2 P.M. in J. C. Green & Sons Chapel; Mr. Jim 
Hutchins officiating. Burial followed in Fair Grove United Methodist Church 
Cemetery. Born in Thomasville, August 7, 1924 a daughter of the late George 
and Hattie Thomas Davis. Mrs. Lee is the great granddaughter of John Warwick 
Thomas, founder of the City of Thomasville. Preceded in death by a brother, 
Julius and sister, Louise. Surviving are her loving husband of sixty-nine 
years, Paul Lee of the home; a daughter, Vicki Floyd of Thomasville; a son, 
Terry Lee and wife Cinda Lou) of Thomasville; three grandchildren and five 
great-grandchildren.
