THe Morning Star, Wilmington, NC - Thursday 1/15/1885
Lexington Dispatch:  Mr. Henry C. Nance, a highly respected citizen,
committed suicide, by hanging, on the morning of the 5th of January.
His little son went to the barn to feed and saw, as he supposed, his
father standing under a shelter by the barn, and never discovered that
he was dead until he was done feeding.
