Palmer, of the county and state aforesaid, being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of my life, do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows, that is to say: First--That my executors, herein after named shall provide for my body a decent burial, and erect a suitable monument to the graves of my deceased wife and myself not to cost exceeding one hundred and fifty dollars, and pall all funeral expenses together with my just debts, as soon as convenient after my decease. Item: I will and bequeath to Jersey Missionary Baptist Church the sum of fity dollars the same to be placed in the hands of Lindsay A. Smith Trustee whose duty it shall be to loan said sum and collect the inerest and one dollar of the principal every year, and pay one half of said annual intererst and one half of said dollar of the principal annually on the graves of my fathers family and my family and use the other half and use the other half for the benfit of the graveyard and so use said fund till the same is exhausted. I desire that Lindsay A. Smith Trustee aforesaid be allowed for his services fifty cents a year, to be retained by him. I desire all my personal and real estate to be sold by my executors herein after named, together with my twelve shares of Mill stock and everything from every source collected and converted into money. I desire my plantation or former home place to be surveyed and paid off in three parcels or tracts to the best advantage and to be sold separately after first advertising the same for thirty days at the court house door in Lexington and three other public places. The sale to be either at the court house door or on the premises as my said executors may think best. Sale of land to be left open twenty days for 10% bid and twenty days thereafter for 5% bid, after which said executors may accept highest bids, collect the money and make deeds to the purchasers. And all the moneys arising from my real and personal property and from every source after pay8ing my specific legacy debts and all other expenses, I desire divided equally among my six children, the shares of Robt. C. Palmer and Alice G. Miller decd. to go to their children. After first adjusting the following anvances made to them. 1. Robert C. Palmer advanced money $230, note $700=$930.00 2. Annie E. Spaugh, advanced $126.40 3. John L. Palmer, advanced $37.00 4. Laura E. McCachern, advanced $107.00 5. Alice G. Miller, advanced $74.25 6. Hugh W. Palmer, advanced $37.00 After all the foregoing advances are adjusted and accounted for, my six childrn wil share equally in my estate and thus be treated fair and right by me. The share of Robt. C. Palmer, dec'd will descend to his children: Mary, Robert, and Philip. The share of Alice G. Miller, dec'd will descend to her children: Vivian and Homes. Annie E. Spaugh, John L. Palmer, Laura E. McCachern and Hugh W. Palmer are living and will receive each his and her share. Lastly, I do hereby constitue and appoint my trusty friends John L. Palmer and S. W. McCachern executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I, the said G. W. Palmer, do hereunto set my hand and seal, this 18th day of March, 1914. G. W.
