Barrier/Berrier/Beryear, Susanna - 1826 - Davidson County, NC - Wills Submitted to the USGenWeb by Stephanie Harrison info@conquestmusic.com In the name of God Amen.....I, Susanna Berrier (Relict of George Berrier, Deceased) of the State of North Carolina, and the county of Davidson, being very sick and weak in Body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to God, and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die, do on the twenty-fourth day of October, in the year, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty-Five, make and ordain this my last Will and Testament; That is to say, First and principally of all I give my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my Body to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my executors and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give , will and dispose of the same in the following manner and form____ First__ I give, will and bequeath to my four sons, Phillip,Henry, Jacob and David, each the sum of twenty-five dollars in money..... and I will also further give my son David my wagon and gears, and also my still with the Cap and Worm, to be enjoyed by him and his heirs, and Secondly__ I give, will and bequeath to my two daughters, Elizabeth and Molly, all my wearing clothes to be equally divided between them. Thirdly__ I give, will and bequeath to the heirs (of the body) of my daughter, Mary (formerly the wife of Mathias Long) the sum of One Dollar to be paid by my executors within twelve months after my decease..... Fourthly__ I will that all my household and kitchen furniture, with every other article in anywise belonging to me that is not already willed away, to be appraised and equally divided between my four sons and two daughters, namely; Phillip, Henry,Jacob,David,Elizabeth and Molly. And I do likewise constitute, make and ordain my well beloved sons, Henry and David the sole executors of this, my last Will and Testament, and I do hereby utterly revoke and disannul all and every other former Wills, Legacies and Bequests, executed by me in any wise before named, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
