DAVIE COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - Red House Taylor Family Grave Yard ----¤¤¤¤---- Mrs. Max Conrad took these records several years ago. She tells me that these were the only marked stones at that time. F.M. [Miss Flossie Martin] RED HOUSE TAYLOR FAMILY GRAVE YARD Davie County. Located about 2-1/2 miles below Farmington,on the left of the road to Mocksville. In my childhood I.G. Roberts owned the surrounding property. For several years it has been and is now the property of Hamp Seats. The summer of 1969. Vernon Miller and were over there and found that the graveyard had been destroyed. We saw the owner and he said that he had had it bull-dozed in a few months before. Vernon and I had gone there with ax,shovel, scrapers etc.,hoping to uncover more graves. When Gladys Davis and I were there a few years before we felt the small trees and silt or leaves, covered many more graves than we found.
