BOOK 22, page 174 or 274 (numbered twice): Sept. 30, 1806, Robert Field & wife Nancy let John McMahan, Wilson Russman, Ebenezer Jones, Samuel Austin & Isaac Ellis (the trustees of the ME Church Soc.) have one acre on Cedar Creek for one Pound, with the directions for conducting the church, wit: Benjamin Gay, Smith Jones & Jno. B. Palmer & proved in Aug. 1811. BOOK 26, page 237: Sept 1, 1819, James Chaplin--no wife signs--lets Willoughby Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 81 3/4 acres between Sugartree Creek and Cub Creek, next to James Ellis & Robert Johnston, for $335.00, wit: Maxey Taylor & William Sheek & proved by the latter in Feb. 1821. BOOK 27, page 416: May 11, 1819, William Ashby--no wife signs-- lets Spence Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 182 acres, being all the tract on Cedar Creek next Willie Jones & Nathan Lee, for $2000.00, wit:-----& William Jarvis & proved by the latter in Feb. 1823. BOOK 30, page 56: Nov. 17, 1827, Lamb Taylor of Rowan Co., N.C., appoints Spence Taylor of Rowan also, his attorney, as well as the attorney for the heirs of Willson Taylor, deceased of Currituck Co., N.C., to recover from Jesse Barnard of Currituck Co., N.C. what is due them. The heirs are James Taylor of Breckinridge Co., Ky. & the heirs of Jesse Taylor of Clark Co., Ky. BOOK 30, page 223: July 1, 1828, Willoughby Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Isham P. Ellis (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 69 acres on Sugar-tree Creek James Ellis & Mary Johnson, for $150.00, wit: Henry McCartee & James C. Weddington & prove by the latter in Aug. 1828. BOOK 30, page 320: Nov. 17, 1827, Elizabeth McHorney appoints Spence Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) her attorney to collect from Jesse Barnard of Currituck Co., N.C., her portion of the estate of the deceased Willson Taylor of Currituck (she being one of the heirs) who had lands and negroes, etc., wit: & proved by C. Harbin & J. P. in Nov. 1828. BOOK 30, page 501: May 14, 1828, Leonard McBride of Surry Co., N.C. & Polly Riddle of Rowan Co., N.C., as Exr & Exx of the last will of the deceased John Riddle of Rowan late, let Wm Sheek of Rowan have 16 acres & a few perches on Sugartree Creek next James Wedington, Isaac Ellis, Lamb Taylor & James Ellis, for $16.00, wit: Josiah Taylor & Wily J. Ward & proved by the latter in Feb. 1829. (This is part of the estate of deceased Stephen Riddle who died intestate, which fell to John.) BOOK 30, page 864, Feb. 16, 1830, Esq. F. Slater (as Nigh Sheriff, on an execution against William Jarvis for $130.00, with interest and costs, recovered by Frederick Shuman as agent of The Cape Fear Bank, for the use of Peter Clingman & for Peter Clingman as agent of the heirs of Michael Wilson & sold Feb. 12, 1830), lets Lamb Taylor of Rowan Co., N.C., have 62 3/4 acres on the east side of the main road from Salisbury to Huntsville, next... Willson, for $134.00, acknowledged Feb. 1830. (also next to a Hudson) BOOK 30, page 1058: Jan. 16, 1830, Samuel Taylor of Rowan Co., N.C. appoints Samuel Poyner of the same county, as his attorney to divide the estate of Edward Taylor deceased. The land is an undivided tract now in the possession of Samuel Taylor a surviving brother of William and Edward Taylor, and is in Currituck Co., N.C., known as the North River tract, transferred to Lamb Taylor Jr. by deed. Signed by Lamb Taylor Jr., Josiah Taylor & Spence Taylor. BOOK 31, page 1: Sept. 25, 1829, William Taylor of Surry Co., N.C. -- no wife signs-- lets Lamb Taylor Sr. have his 1/6th part of the land in Currituck Co., N.C. on the North River Swamp next Daniel Lindsay, for $75.00, wit: Josiah Taylor & C. Harbin & proved by the latter in Aug. 1830. (This is the part of the land upon which the deceased Ethelred Taylor last lived before his death.) BOOK 31, page 865, Jan. 8, 1830, William Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Samuel Austin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Olive Branch Meeting House, ME Church of U.S. of America, have 1/2 acre land next heirs... Brunt, under same restrictions as made by Robert Field for the meeting house, for a burial ground, and $5.00, wit: George Lowery & E. D. Austin & proved by the latter in May 1833. BOOK 32, page 80: Aug. 24, 1833, Allmon Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Howard Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 50 acres next George Foster, Nathan Haineline & ... Slickter, for $125.00 wit: Jesse Taylor & John Rupard & proved by the latter in Feb. 1834. BOOK 32, page 125, Oct. 11, 1832, Elijah Smallwood & wife Sally let Spencer Taylor (all of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 45 acres in a marsh for $70.00, wit: Wm Sheek & Edmund Taylor and acknowledged. BOOK 32, page 127, Feb. 8, 1834, Benjamin Franklin of Rowan Co., N.C. --no wife signs-- lets John Hodges of Halifax Co., Va. have 170 acres on Chaffins Mill Creek between Barbey Castle & Benjamin Franklin for $700.00, wit: Jesse Taylor & Michael Hanes & proved by the latter in Feb. 1834. BOOK 32, page 230: Aug. 9, 1834, William Lund Jr. & wife Buly let Wm & Elijah Brunt have Buley's part of the land where Thomas Brunt lived whose estate it is for $300.00, wit: Wm Lunn Sr. & acknowledged in Aug. 1834. BOOK 32, page 294: Nov. 17, 1834, Jesse Moore & wife Rosa of Surry Co., N.C., let Caswell Harbin of Rowan Co., N.C., have 108 acres called the "Griffin Place" in the forks of the Yakin with Benjamin Taylor on the east and north, Elijah Smallwood on the west also the heirs of John Wellman, said Harbin on the south, for $180.00, wit: E. D. Austin & Wm Hawkins & acknowledged in Nov. 1834. (This is said Rosey Moore's undivided part which her grandfather Henry Railsback willed her.) BOOK 32, page 375: Sept. 26, 1834, Josiah Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Samuel Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 38 acres, 66 poles on the waters of Cedar Creek next said Samuel Taylor, Josiah Taylor, Nelson Travillion, for $272.33 3/4, wit; Lamb Taylor & Thomas Ratledge & proved by the latter. BOOK 32, page 395: Oct. 10, 1834, Edmond Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Joseph Eaton (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 140 3/4 acres on the bank of Cedar Creek next Wm Taylor, said Edmond Taylor & John Taylor, for $1000.00, wit: Samuel Taylor & Spencer Taylor & proved by the latter in May 1835. BOOK 32, page 400: Nov. 22, 1832, Lamb Taylor Sr. --no wife signs-- lets David Jarvis (the son of William Jarvis) both of Rowan Co., N.C. have 62 3/4 acres on the east side of the main road from Salisbury to Huntsville, next Wilson, for $30.00, wit: Lamb Taylor Jr. & Spencer Taylor & proved by the latter in May 1835. BOOK 32, page 509: Nov. 14, 1835, David N. Reynolds & wife Nancy of Stokes Co., N.C. let Samuel D. Smith of Rowan Co., N.C., have lot #2 of 125 acres on Cedar Creek next to land of deceased Lamb Taylor (father of said Nancy), for $625.00, wit: William F. Kelly & acknowledged. BOOK 33, page 66: Oct. 8, 1835, Ormon Kimbrough & wife Sally of Surry Co., N.C. let Thomas Gray of Rowan Co., N.C. have 124 acres on Cedar Creek next lot #6, Lamb Taylor Sr., the share of said Sally Kimbrough in her father's land, lot 35 & middle of Cedar Creek, for $705.00, wit: Henry Giles & Acknowledged May 1836. BOOK 33, page 107: Sept 12, 1836, Spence Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Caswell Harbin (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 45 acres on Dutch-mans Creek next the old corner for $100.00, wit: Wm P. Lane & acknowledged in Nov. 1838. (This is a share of estate of deceased Willoughby McHorney, which fell to Sally, wife of Elisha Smallwood, who let said Taylor have it.) BOOK 33, page 130: March 1, 1834, Spencer Taylor--no wife signs-- lets Josiah Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 126 acres on west bank Cedar Creek next Wm Taylor and the mouth of Tanyard Branch for $756.00, wit: N. Cornell & N. Travillion & proved by the latter in Aug. 1836. (This is said Spencer's part of his fathers, Lamuel Taylor Sr., estate) BOOK 33, page 141: Jan. 20, 1835, Joseph Eaton--no wife signs--lets Benjamin Eaton Sr. (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have lot #3 (in the estate of his deceased father Benjamin Eaton) being 157 acres on Dutchmans Creek next John Naylor, lot #6 (of Catharine Eaton now Catharine Rich)lot #2 of Benjamin Eaton, Noah Brock, Wm Brock & lot #4 of Jacob Eaton for $700.00 wit: Spencer Taylor & Samuel Taylor & proved by the latter in Aug. 1836. BOOK 33, page 195: A decree of April court 1835 to sell the land of deceased David Smith (who died intestate) but it cannot be divided, so it is sold at the home of Isham P. Ellis on July 28, 1835 & bought in by Jacob Sheek, Levi Smith, Samuel Taylor, Nathaniel Taylor, Nelson Travillian, John Call, Wm Saunders, George Lowry & Thomas Smith, 8 acres on Cub Creek next John Lunn, proved Oct. 1836. Frost's Company are 1 white and 5 black polls with 680 acres of land. 1813 John Taylor a deed from Simond Edwards for 150 acres, #89 proved by Charles Anderson Sr., Nov. 13, 1813. 1815 Deed from Edward Taylor Sr. to Edward Taylor Jr. for 175 acres March 11, 1815 Edmond Taylor is Patroller in Capt. Frost's Company in Aug. 1815 George Taylor proves deed for Lyons to Hays for negro girl May 1815 1816 Samuel Taylor to William Taylor deed for 35 acres proved by William Jarvis Oct. 18, 1816 Samuel Taylor to Thomas Brunt deed for 46 1/2 acres #44 proved by William Jarvis Oct. 19. 1816. 1817 Isaac Taylor's estate settled Feb. 21, 1817. 1819 Spence Taylor gets 83 acres from W. Jones, March 1819. 1820 February 21, 1820: the will of Maxey Taylor is proved by Aquilla Chesier.
