I have a transcript of a letter from: 
Elizabeth Smith Madison County, Indiana, May 27, 1838.
"Dear Uncle and Aunt, Mother says to tell you she had a son and calls him 
Joseph Taylor, Mother sends her love to old Mis Chaffin."

Addressed to Thomas Ferebee, North Carolina, Davie County by "pitileness" 
of Mr. Smith.
