   DAVIE COUNTY -- The present week the County of Davie was organized by 
appointment of the following officers:
   JOHN CLEMENT, ESQ. - County Court Clerk
   THOMAS FOSTER - Sheriff
   BRAXTON BAILEY - Register
   G. ADLPHUS MILLER - County Solicitor
   Commissioners of Public Buildings 
   NATHAN CHAFFIN, ROWLAND CRUMP, B. G. JONES, THOMAS RATLEGE, and FRANCIS 
WILLIAMS, ESQ.
   Special Court - LITTLEBERRY R. ROSE, JESSE CLEMENT and GILES W. PEARSON, 
ESQS
   We understand that the Commissioners have decided upon locating the County 
seat at Mocksville -- West. Car.
