DAVIE COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Sarah Jane Gullett, 7 Aug 1941 ----¤¤¤¤---- *Appeared in the newspaper on Thursday, August 7, 1941 Death Claims Mrs. Gullett Mrs. Sarah Jane Gullett, 69, wife of O.M. Gullett, died at her home in Franklin township this morning. Mrs. Gullett was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Veach of Davie County. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church and had resided in Rowan county for 39 years. Surviving are: her husband; four daughters, Mrs. V.A. Swicegood of Davie county, Mrs. J.L. Miller of Granite Quarry, Mrs. R.W. Queen of Davidson, Mrs. J.L. Mauldin of Salisbury; one son, Wayne Gullett of the county; 30 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Will Veach of Cooleemee; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Edwards and Mrs. Stamey Edwards of Harmony. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock from the Calvary Baptist church with the Rev. D.H. Lowder officiating, assisted by Rev. C.H. Rhyne and D.W. Digh. Burial will be in the Calvary church yard. *Appeared in the newspaper on Saturday, August 9, 1941 Mrs. Gullett Is Buried Here Final rites for Mrs. Sarah Jane Gullett, 69, who died at her home in Franklin township Thursday morning, were conducted yesterday morning at 11 o'clock from Calvary Baptist church. Rev. D.H. Lowder officiated, assisted by Rev. Mr. Eagle and Rev. D.W. Digh. Burial was in the Calvary churchyard.
