F. Hunter Mrs. Ora Gray Hunter, 44, wife of B. F. Hunter, Winston-Salem, route 1, passed away Wednesday afternoon at 12:45 o’clock at a local hospital following a virtual illness of two weeks. She was born in Davie county, November 24, as daughter of Thomas G. and Mary Winfrey Lakey. She had resided in this city for 11 years, coming from Akron, Ohio, where she had made her home for several years. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are the husband; two sons, Beverly and Samuel Hunter; two daughters, Harriet and Mary Hunter; her father and stepmother; three brothers, Fred R., Evan and Roland Lakey of Davie county; and two sisters, Mrs. L. R. Harkey of Washington, D C., and Mrs. I. G. Robbers of Cana. Funeral services were held at Salem Baptist church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, and the body laid to rest in Woodlawn cemetery, Winston-Salem.
