Mrs. Jarvis Dies At Advance
   Mrs. Barbara Katherine Jarvis, 87, passed away at her home, at Advance at 
1:15 o’clock, Wednesday morning.  She had been ill several days.
   Mrs. Jarvis was a native and life long resident of Davie county.  She was 
born August 10, 1845, and was a member of Smith Grove Methodist church.  She 
was a widow of Jessie Jarvis.
   Survivors include two sons, R. C. Jarvis, of Winston-Salem, and J. H. 
Jarvis, of Advance, 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
   Funeral was conducted at Shady Grove church Thursday morning by Rev. W. M 
Rathburn and J. A. Baldwin.
