Davie County Court of Record Book 3, pg 356 Last Will and Testament of John Edward Bell Shutt North Carolina Advance, N.C. Davie County December 7, 1931 I bequeath to my wife Florina J. Shutt all my land except Meachem lot and Nichols lot, to have and hold her life time and receive the rents there from. I bequeath to Walter M. Shutt his heirs and assigns 1/2 acre Meachum lot, known as the Joe Meachum lot, bounded on the South by Walter M. Shutt, on the East by Fannie Holder on the West highwqay # 801. The Nichols lot to be sold by Walter M. Shutt public or private for division with my heirs, all money on hand at time of my death from sale or accounts collected to be equally divided between the six children after a decent burial. I bequeath to my wife, all household and kitchen furniture including one fire proof money safe. I bequeath to Laura E. Shutt one piano, also one victrola. I bequeath to Lizzie C. Byerly one organ. I bequeath to Lena A. Nail one cedar chest. I bequeath to Maxine Nail one cedar center table. I bequeath to my wife, two bay horses all farming tools including one hay rake, dise harrow, wagons, plows, mowing machine, harness etc. I bequeath to my wife all galvanize iron on hand at the time of my death. I bequeath to Walter M. Shutt my work bench and all shop tools by him paying the other heirs $3.00 each. I bequeath to Ruth Shutt one red cow. I bequeath to my wife all meats, lard, all grain including wheat, corn, oats also hogs and all rough feed including hay and fodder, at the time of my death. I bequeath to Walter M. Shutt one note for his service to his Father and Mother during their lifetime. Walter M. Shutt Executor can sell all rough and dressed lumber, except cedar lumber which he can have for the family use, all finished wagon material, also all paints and oils can be sold, hearse harness and briddles can be sold also. Walter M. Shutt accepts the Meachum lot as his 1/6 interest in the home place. I, J.E.B. appoint Walter M. Shutt, my Executor to settle my Estate. J. E. B. Shutt Witness: J. L. Vogler Witness: C. E.
