Stephen Cobb Complains to Me one of the Dobbs County } Justis of s'd County that Aaron Bass Sen'r late of your County is a person of very mean caretor and Behaved Him Self as an Inemie to this State at the Court House on the 19 of May last in saying to His Son Aaron Bass Dont mind if for you Shall not go, meening in the Defence of his cuntry when commanded by his Superours, which Bass hath Since with Desert him Self and is Now a Deserter From the Servis, and the Sd. Bass Hath Sence Said that he would Treet Said Cap't Cobb if he would go after Aaron meening his Son, and Said that Aaron Had as Good as pass as Mr Cobb could give him so that it is Expedant for the good of this State, that Such persons should be a Megantly aprehended, we therefore command you in the Name of the State to Take the Body of the Said Bass into your Safe Custety and him Safly Keep untill you have Him Before me or Sum other Justis of the peace for Said county To be Delt with as the Law Derects Given under my hand and Seal this 23 Day of June 1778. Revell his son in law, and the sd Aaron Bass Sen'r considered by the late act of Assembly as a vagarant of which sufficiant proof of his character & conduct and beheavour hath been made to me according to law. to any Contineltal officer or for the want of such an officer to the Joylar for the destrict of Halifax.
