To Martin Caswell Clerk of Dobbs County Inferior Court

Greeting

We Command you firmly enjoining that laying aside all and all manner of 
excuses you be and appear before our Chief Justice and his Associate Justice 
at the next Superior Court of Justice to be held for the District of New 
Bern at the Court House in New Bern on the second Day of November next and 
bring and have then and there with you all Accounts Records and papers which 
you have remaining in your office of Dobbs County formerly called Johnston of 
and concerning a settlement formerly made by Gilbert Kerr formely with the 
justices of Dobbs County formerly called Johnston and in your Custody and 
keeping and which our said court would view herein you are not to fail 
under the Penalty Incumbent by Law. Witness Jas Hasell Esq Chief Justice of 
our said Province at New Bern the ninth Day of May Amno Dom 1766
