Dobbs County, NC - Deeds - State to Jacob Adam, 1782 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wayne County Deed Book 1, pg 76 State of North Carolina To all to whome these presents Shall come greeting Know ye that we for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty Shillings for every hundred Acres hereby granted paid into our Treasury by Jacob Adam have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the Said Jacob Adam a tract of Land Containing one hundred acres lying and being in our County of Dobbs on the south side his own land and joining Joseph Rhodes begining at a pine near the flat pond and runs Et. 21 poles to a black jack on his own line then with said line So. 15 Et. 24 poles to a post oak his corner then Et. 122 poles to a pine So. 46 poles to a pine No. 154 poles then to the begining as by plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woods waters Mines Minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the sd.
