All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Connie Ardrey n/a March 3, 2018, 5:11 pm Craven County, NC Register of Deeds Written: 1773 North Carolina Craven County Indenture dated 14 Mar 1773 between John McKinny of Dobs County of the one part and John Chance of the county and province aforesaid in consideration of the sum of forty pounds a certain tract of land in Craven County on both sides of the main road near Fort Barnwell about half a mile from John Tulens Place adjacent to Halfmoon Branch, Russels Branch, containing 150 acres being a tract of land granted by patent to Philip Trapnal dated 9 Oct 1749 and sold by William Trapnal son and heir to Philip Trapnal to William Holloway to John Griffin and from him to John McKinne. Witnesses: Thos Cox and James Stenson. Proved in court September Craven Inferior Court 1774.
