Dobbs County, NC – Deeds – State to William McKinne, Jun’r, 1784 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wayne County Deed Book 1, pg 263 – 400 acres State of North Carolina No. 227 To all to whome these presents Shall come greeting Know ye that we for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty Shillings for every hundred Acres hereby granted paid into our Treasury by William McKinne Jun’r have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the Said William McKinne Jun’r a tract of Land Containing four hundred acres lying and being in our County of Dobbs on Simmonses run Beginning at a pine James Bradburys second corner and runs with his line No. 60 Wt. 126 pole to a pine No. 23 Et. 34 pole to a red Oak No. 30 Wt. 50 poles to a pine Speights corner then with his line So. 45 Et. 72 poles to a pine then Et. 157 poles to a hickory in Richard McKinnes line thence with his So. 28 Wt. 310 poles to a red Oak then Wt. 300 pole to a stake No. 210 pole to a black Jack his own corner then with his own line So. 85 Et. 94 pole to a pine No. 65 Et. 88 poles to a pine in Bradburys line then with his line So. 30 Wt. 139 poles to a black Jack So. 60 Et. 179 poles to a pine and then to the beginning as by the Plat hereunto annexed & doth appear together with all woods waters Mines Minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the sd.
