Dobbs County, NC - Deeds - Stringer Potts to Daniel Potts, 1787 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ State of North Carolina } Dobbs County } To all to whom by their presents shall come Greeting, Know ye that I Stringer Potts of the State and County aforesaid as will for the natural love and affection which I have and do bear to my well beloved son Daniel Potts and for divers other good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have given and granted and by these presents do fully clearly and absolutely give grant and confirm unto the said Daniel Potts a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in Dobbs County aforesaid and on the north side of Neuce River and on the east side of Jerico branch being part of a tract of two hundred and fifty acres of land patented by Francis Stringer bearing date the eight day of November 1738 and conveyed by said Francis Stringer to Robert Potts and conveyed by Robert Potts to his son Stringer Potts reference being had thereto may more fully and at large appear and now conveyed by the said Stringer Potts to his son Daniel Potts containing one hundred acres of land be the same more or less and all houses buildings orchards ways water courses profits commodities hereditaments and appurtenancies whatsoever to the said primeses hereby granted or any part thereof or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents and issues and profits thereof and also all the Estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of in and to the said premises and all Deeds Evidincis and writings touching or in any wise concerning the same. To have and to hold the said land hereby given and conveyed and all and singular other the premises hereby given and conveyed and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Daniel Potts his heirs and assigns forever to the only use and behoof of him the said Daniel Potts his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Stringer Potts do for myself or any other person or persons for me or in my name do warrant the same to be free from any imcumbrance whatsoever the quit rents only excepted and the said Stringer Potts do for himself and his heirs all and singular the premisis hereby given unto the said Daniel Potts his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Stringer Potts hath hereunto set his hand and Seal this 2nd day of April in the year of our Lord 1787 ~ Signed sealed & Delivered } In presence of } Stringer (his + mark) Potts {Seal} Mam Phillips Geo.
