He enlisted in 1780 and served three months as sergeant in Captain Joseph Boon’s Company of Light Horse in Colonel Benjamin Axum’s North Carolina Regiment. He was allowed pension on his application executed October 1, 1832 while a resident of Wayne County, NC, formerly Dobbs County, NC.
