All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Old Dobbs Gen Soc n/a December 25, 2007, 4:58 pm Bryan McCullen – He was born December 22, 1755 in Dobbs (which was later Wayne) County, NC and while residing in said Dobbs County he enlisted and served as a private with the North Carolina Troops as follows: from March 13, 1776, three months in Captain Joseph Sessions’ Company, Colonel William McKinne’s Regiment; from some time in November 1778, three months in Captain Michael King’s Cavalry Company; in 1781, three months in Captain John Grantham’s Company, Colonel McKinne’s Regiment and was in a skirmish on Sleepy Creek in Wayne County. He was allowed pension on his application executed August 21, 1833, then a resident of Sampson County, NC. He died March 9, 1835. He mentions having a wife in 1778 or 1779, name not mentioned.
