THOMAS JAMES HARDISON BIBLE

A photocopy of this Bible was found at the DAR Library in Washington, DC and 
first published in the Pitt County Family Researchers Quarterly in the 
February 1997 issue.  The original was owned by Carolyn Riddle of Springfield, 
Il. There was no title page attached.

Efforts to determine the parents of Thomas James Hardison have not been 
successful but most likely he was from Duplin Co. and possibly the son of 
Jesse and Rebecca Parker Hardison. His wife, Rebecca Denmark Howell, according 
to her Death Certificate in Wayne County was the daughter of Joseph and Fannie 
Lewis Denmark. She married first Branny Howell according to the Death 
Certificate of their daughter, Rosa Ellen Parker, also in Wayne County. Thomas 
and Rebecca had a Marriage Bond dated 26 Dec. 1866 and were on the 1870 
Wolfscrepe District, Duplin County Census.  By 1880 Thomas was deceased and 
Rebecca was on the Brogden District, Wayne County Census as a widow.
