Vs his ward A. H. Grady

Alexander H. Grady to Wm. Kornegay Sr. his guardian
Detn to ten dollars a fee paid to Owin Holms as a lawyer to defend a Suit 
brought against my ward to recover the rents of his land by Jason Smith   $10
Detn to Sixty cents unto Clerks fee in granting an order an order (sic) for a 
Committee to Settle the Estate Between Guardian and ward   .60
And receiving the report
Detn to fifteen dollars a fee given to Jo Hill to file a petition in Court to 
Grant an order to sell land to pay Guardian for money Expended in Behalf of his 
ward  $15
Detn to three days myself and horse Attending Court  the 28th, 29th and 30th of 
November 1831 in the Suit wherein my ward was sued for the rents of his land  $3
Detn to one dollar for one day attending the Sale and Selling my wards land at 
Court House    $1.0
Detn to two dollars in Giting a Surveyor to lay of the part of land Sold  $2.0
Detn to two dollars for Services rendered in Giting the Surveyor and attending 
to the laying out the land sold    $2.0
Detn to two dollars paid to chain Bearers   $2.0
November Court Term 1832
Detn to three days attending Court myself and horse in the Suit for rents
Detn to Sixty five cents for Giting a coppy of the returns of land Sales and a 
coppy of the Reporte of Committee   .65
Detn to one dollar for going to Jas Dicksons after the two coppies   $1.0
And one dollar for going to Clerk’s offices for those two coppies the 13th of 
January

against me by Jason Smith to recover the rents of my wards Lands.  Detn  to 
Sixty cents from Clerks fee in granting an order for a committee to Settle the

much of my wards lands as will pay the costs I have Expended – Detn to three 
dollars for myself and horse Attending Court three days the 28th, 29th and 30th 
of November 1831 in attending to the Suit wherein I was sued for the rents 
Agreable to an order of the County Court to me directed to sell as much of the 
lands of my ward as wood be sufficient to pay a debt of my ward to me for money 
Expended  in a Suit about the right of his lands the Said debt and cost 
amounting to one Hundred and twenty six and thirty eight cents from which I Sold 
one Hundred and twenty Seven acres of the land of my ward to pay the Said debt 
the lands was sold the 6th day of February 1832 at Duplin Court House and bid of 
by Jason Smith.  Alexander H. Grady Detn to guardian to attending the sale of 
Said lands one dollar and to two dollars to the Surveyor to laying the said part 
sold and for my services for giting the Surveyor and attending the laying out 
the Said land two dollars  Detn to two dollars for chain Bearers to carry the 
chains in laying out the said land November Term 1832   Detn to three days 
attendance for myself and horse at three dollars  Detn to Sixty Five cents for 
gitting a coppy of Committee and a coppy of the returns of Land sale.
