Province and to the Hon'ble Members of the Council Constituting the Court of Chancery in the said Province. The Humble Petition Stephen WILLIAMS Sheweth That your Petitioners Father Anthony WILLIAMS departed this Life Sometime in or ab't the year 1752 but before his death Made and published his last Will and Testament in Writing and thereby among other Bequests did give and bequeath unto his Son Benjamin WILLIAMS and his Daughters Phereby WILLIAMS Hester WILLIAMS Civility WILLIAMS to the Amount of upwards of Two Hundred pounds Proclamation Money and of His said Will did appoint Job BROOKS and William MEARES his Ex'rs w's S'd Job BROOKS proved S'd Will and took upon him the Burthen & Execution thereof & soon after Intermarried w'th y'r Petitioners Mother the Widow of the s'd Anthony WILLIAMS. Your Petitioner further Sheweth that at a County Court held at Turky Branch in & for Duplin County y'r Petitioner was appointed Guardian to the s'd Benj'n Pheriby Hester & Civility WILLIAMS who are Minors under the Age of Twenty one years. That the s'd Job BROOKS is going to Quit this Province as y'r Petitioner is Credibly Informed and verily be__ and has Still in his hands in the Amount of upwards of One hundred pounds Proc. Money of the Effects of y'r Petitoners Father bequeathed to his s'd Brothers & Sisters Y'r Petitoner therefore prays your Excell'cy & Hon'rs to Grant unto your Petitoner his Majestys Writ of our Exeat Province to be Directed to the Sheriff of Onslow County against the s'd Job BROOKS and y'r Pet'r will Pray.
