   11 Sept. 1784 -- WILLIAM ALLEN to ROBERT DICKSON, both of Duplin County, N. 
C., for 30 pounds, 300 acreson a branch of Island Creek known by name of 
Cook's creek including a plantation whereon WILLIAM ALLEN now lives. Witness 
CADER HARRELL, JOHN DICKSON. Proved April Court, 1785.
