4A p. 210 JOHN JERNIGAN, planter, to JACOB GILMORE, both of Duplin Co., 7 Oct 
1809, for 200pds. current money of N. C. 153A in 2 tracts to wit: (1) 80A in 
the Piney Woods on the head of the Great Branch, beg. at a pine THOMAS 
TAYLOR'S old corner adj. BLIZZARD'S old line; (2) 73A on Rattlesnake Swamp, 
beg. at a gum in sd. swamp JESSE JOURNEGAN'S lower corner below the field & 
runs along his dividing line to a stake on ANTHONY JONES' line, thence along 
the dividing line between him & his sister SALLY BRANCH. The 2 tracts being 
the sd. JOHN JOURNEGAN'S share of the lands of his dec'd father ELISHA 
JOURNEGAN & aalso 1/3 of his father's lands which were laid off to ZILPHA 
JOURNEGAN, the widow of the sd. ELISHA JOURNEGAN by her dower 
in sd. lands, which will be sd. JOHN JERNIGAN'S after the death of sd. ZILPHA.
