GOODMAN & others to Edward ALBERSON Deed 100 acres land. This Indenture made this third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & six, Between George THOMAS, Timothy GOODMAN & Mary THOMAS & Elizabeth GOODMAN of the County of Lenoir & State of North Carolina of the one part, and Edward ALBERSON of the County of Duplin and same State of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said George THOMAS, Timothy GOODMAN, Mary THOMAS & Elizabeth GOODMAN for and in consideration of the sum of twenty milled dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged themselves to be therewith fully satisfied contented and paid, have given granted bargained and sold & by these presents do bargain sell & make over unto the said Edward ALBERSON his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land, lying & being in the County of Duplin & state aforesaid, on the waters of the North East river. Beginning at a red oak runs N 100 poles to a Lightwood Stump then E 160 poles to a Stake in a meadow, then S 100 poles Cradling? the road to a Blackjack, then to the beginning containing one hundred acres, taken up by Elijah BARNES & conveyed by deed to Samuel SORRELL? & from Samuel LOWELL? to John BEVENT? & from him by heirship to us, To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land & premises unto him the said Edward ALBERSON his heirs & assigns forever, together with all & singular the privileges to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and in the said George THOMAS, Timothy GOODMAN, Mary THOMAS, Elizabeth GOODMAN do hereby covenant provide and agree for ourselves one hundred acres & admrs. to warrant & forever defend the aforesaid land do promise to him the said Edward ALBERSON his heirs & assigns forever free from the lawful Claim of us our heirs execs. admrs. or any other person claiming from or under us for them.
