Q, p. 124-125 William GULLY to son John GULLY both of Duplin Co., NC 22 April 1807 William GULLY to John GULLY Deed 363 Acres Land This Indenture made this Twenty second day of April in the year or our Lord, One thousand Eight hundred & Seven & Independence XXXI, Between William GULLY of the State of North Carolina & county of Duplin of the one part and John GULLY, Son of sd. William GULLY, of the either part. Witnesseth that the said William GULLY for & in consideration of the natural love & affection which he hath & beareth to his Son, John GULLY, hath given granted, En—? & Confirmed to the said John GULLY, all that messuage tenement, land & premises where he the said William now lives, Reserving to himself & wife Bethany GULLY the use & benefit thereof during both or within of their natural lives, Beginning at a Maple near the run in Goshen Swamp, it being the beginning corner of a Tract Patented by George NORRIS, Runs thence N 36 East 52 poles to a Creek?, thence N 85 E 20 poles to an oak, thence S 40 E 46 poles to a red oak, Jesse GULLY’S corner, the beginning for he land given him by his Father, William GULLY, runs hence with his line S 75 E 100 poles to a pine his corner, thence his other line, N 21 E 52 poles to a red oak, thence his line S 60 E 14 poles to a pine thence N 38 E 40 poles to a pine, thence N 35 E 70 poles to a pine, thence N 48 W 132 poles to a pine & white oak at or ear Joseph WENDER? line, ————- (crossed out) & WADES? lines, thence N 24 W 36 poles to a pine, William GULLY, Junr’s corner, thence with his line S 78 W 100 poles to the head or near the head of Dry Branch, thence the same course continued down the Branch to a Gum on the run of Goshen Swamp, thence down Goshen to the Beginning continuing in the whole Three? hundred and sixty three acres be the same more or less, it being the whole of the land said GULLY is possessed of with all Singular? appurtenances & improvements of every nature an kind whatever To have and to hold the aforesaid Land & premises to him the said John GULLY his heirs & assigns forever, ——— as aforesaid the use thereof to him the said William GULLY & Bethena his wife during their natural lives and the said William GULLY for himself & his heirs to & with said John GULLY to severe? and forever defend the said land & premises for him the said William GULLY from his heirs & assigns forever.
