Witnessed that the said Charles HINES for and In consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds proclamation money to him in hand paid By the said William NEWTON the Receipt Whereof I the said Charles HINES do hereby acknowledge myself thereunto fully contented satisfied and paid and that the said Charles HINES hath granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed but these presents doth fully freely and absolutely grant bargain sold alien and confirm unto the said William NEWTON, A certain tract or parcel of land situated in Duplin County on the South side of Bear Swamp and lower side meeting Branch beginning at a small Gum and Poplar and at and in the branch then By Estimation of Lands? and distance Running 74 East to the meeting Branch thence along the same lands twenty four poles to a pine thence North 22 West 80 poles to a Black Oak thence North 67 West to a Black Oak West the Head of Thunder Bottom, George THOMAS’S line the Various Courses thereof to a Black Gum at the Edge of the Run of Bear Swamp thence up the Run of Bear Swamp to the Run of the meeting Branch thence up to Run of saw branch to the mouth of Gum Branch and from thence up the said Gum Branch to the First Station, Containing int he whole By Estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less Being part of Three hundred and Sixty acres Bought of Henry E. MCCULLAH by Frederick BELL as may more freely appear by his deed together with all profits Commodity Hereditaments and appurtenances Whatsoever to said land Belonging or in anywise appertaining and also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders, Rents and Services of said premises and of every part and parcel thereof, and the Estate Right with Interest Claim or Demand whatsoever of him the said Charles HINES of in and to the Said Plantation or parcel of land and all and singular the premises above mentioned and Every part and parcel thereof with all Woods underwoods ways Waters and Waters Causes unto the said William NEWTON his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use benefit and Behoof of the said William NEWTON his heirs or assigns forever, and I the said Charles HINES for myself my heirs and assigns to the said Plantation or parcel of land and Every? parcel thereof from all manner of Incumbrances Except the Yearly Quit Rents of the same? He the said Charles HINES his heirs or assigns against all warrant of persons Whatsoever by from or under him his heirs and assigns Do Warrant and forever defend Unto the said William NEWTON his heirs and assigns forever.
