P, p. 241-243 Lewis MARTIN, Nancy MARTIN, Jerediah BLANSHARD, Mary BLANSHARD, Stephen HINES & Marinna HINES to George THOMAS- all of Duplin Co., NC. 15 Nov. 1802 To All People to Whom these presents shall Come Greeting, Know Ye that We, Lewis MARTIN, Nancy MARTIN, Jeremiah BLANSHARD and his wife Mary BLANSHARD and Stephen HINES & his wife Marinna HINES all Heirs of Christopher MARTIN, Dec’d to us in hand paid by George THOMAS of the County of Duplin we have bargained & sold & do by these presents bargain sell and make over unto him the said George THOMAS his heirs and assigns forever two Certain Messuages Tracts or parcels of Land Containing two hundred acres more or less Situated lying and being in the county of Duplin & State of N. Carolina and on the South E Side of the Cabin Branch including the —— whereon the said Christopher MARTIN formerly Lived, One Hundred and Eighteen acres Granted to the said Jeremiah BLANSHARD which he Binds himself his heirs Execr’s & Admrs to warrant and forward defend unto the Said George THOMAS his heirs and assigns forever and the remainder Granted to the said Christopher MARTIN the 16th day of March 1799, it being that part of a Survey lying on the S E side of the Cabin branch Beginning at a Maple in the Cabin Branch & in John ROBERTS line & runs with his lien S E 3 E 186 poles to a lightwood Tree his Corner thence N 27 E 38 poles to a Stake in Needham WHITFIELDS line then with his line S 33 E 18 poles to a Stake then with his line S 26 E 64 poles to a Hickory then with his line S 64 W 28 poles to a Red Oak his Corner then with his line S 26 E 90 poles to a pine in his line then with his line N 65 W 50 poles then S 25 W to the Cabbin Branch & then up the Meanders of the Cabbin Branch to the Beginning to have and to hold the aforesaid Bargained land and premises with all the improvements privileges conveyances and advantages to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said George THOMAS his heirs and assigns forever and we the said Lewis MARTIN, Nancy MARTIN, Jerediah BLANSHARD and his wife Mary BLANSHARD, Stephen HINES & his wife Marinna HINES — obligate and oblige Ourselves Our heirs Executors administrators to Warrant Secure and forever Defend the same unto him he said George THOMAS his heirs and assigns forever against all personal whatsoever.
