   July 19, 1785 -- JAMES PEARSALL AND ZILPHA PEARSALL, wife, both of Duplin 
County to JAMES JAMES, planter of Duplin, for 45 pounds, 45 acres in two tracts
being (1) on the W side of the Northeast Branch of Cape Fear River and N side 
of Maxwell Swamp on Elder Branch, beginning at a pine ROBERT DICKSON'S corner 
on JOHN MCCULLOH'S line, patented by said PEARSALL 10 Nov. 1784; (2) 25 acres 
on the S side of Grove Swamp and the S. side of Pasture Branch, granted July 
1, 1779 to PEARSALL, beginning at a pine at the said PEARSALL'S own line to 
ROBERT MILLER'S Line, to a pine on sd. MCCULLOH'S line by ROBERT CLUGSTON'S 
line. Witnesses: JOHN CARR, JAMES EVANS. Proved July Court 1785
