Dickson SLOAN of Sampson Co., NC to Daniel C. MOORE of Duplin Co., NC-Bond of 
Title
22 Feb 1828

State or North Carolina
Duplin County
Know all Men by these presents that I, Dickson SLOAN of the State aforesaid & 
County of Sampson are held & bound to Daniel C. MOORE of the same State & County 
aforesaid in the sum of Fifteen Hundred & Six dollars & 60/100 which payment 
will & truly shall be made the rect. whereof is hereby acknowledged. The 
condition of the above obligation are such that if the above bounded Dickson 
SLOAN, his heirs, Exr’s or Admr’s or assigns do make over tot he said Daniel C. 
MOORE all his right, title & claim to a certain tract or parcel of land situate 
on the Waters of Maxwell Swamp & thereon where Eleanor MAXWELL now lives to me 
my heirs, Exr’s. Admir’s. or assigns all his Title of the said land vested in 
him by his said Dec’d Father David SLOAN then the above obligation to be void o 
otherwise to remain influx force & virtue, this 
22 February 1828.
