David SLOAN to David ROUSE both of Duplin Co., NC - 150 Acres
21 Feb. 1835

This Indenture made his 21st Day of February A. D. Eighteen hundred thirty five. 
Between David SLOAN of the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina of the 
one part & David ROUSE of the same County & State of the other part Witnesseth 
that the said David SLOAN hath For and in consideration of the Sum of Two 
hundred & forty Dollars the receipt whereof & hereby acknowledged bargained sold 
set over ——— & confirmed unto David ROUSE  certain tract or parcel of land in 
the above mentioned County & State Butted and Bounded as follows - Beginning at 
a pine not he North side of Island Creek and on the head of Mill Branch — West 
182 182 poles to Light wood tree thence N 136 poles to a white oak thence E 174 
poles To a pine thence to the beginning containing one Hundred & fifty acres be 
the same more or less and The said David SLOAN doth relinquish all right & Title 
from him his heirs Executors administrators administrators and assigns forever 
to have and to hold to Enjoy and possess all and singular the right title and 
appurtenances as there unto Belonging and the said David SLOAN doth covenant & 
agree to warrant & to Defend from him his heirs Executors administrators and 
assigns and against the Lawful claim or claims of all persons whatsoever and 
warrant defend and set over to him the said David ROUSE his heirs Executors 
administrators and assigns forever against the claims of all persons whatsoever 
In Testimony whereof the said David SLOAN doth here unto set his hand and seal 
this the Day and date above written.
