Duplin County - Indenture made January 28, 1775 between Joseph Slocumb of 
Sampson and Asher Pipkin of Dobbs Co, NC for 42 pounds land lying and being in 
Duplin on the north side of Goshen Swamp adjacent to the plantation whereas 
said Slocumb now lives containing 400 acres.
Witnesses: Jesse Pipkin, Luke Pipkin and William Crawford
