Bk 4A p. 151  NATHAN FOUNTAIN of Duplin Co. to MILES THIGPEN of Jones Co., 29 
Nov 1809, for $300, 125A in 2 tracts to wit: (1) 50A on the ES of the 
Northeast River & on the SS of Muddy Creek, beg. at a pine the 4th corner of 
the survey from which this land was deeded, being granted to HENRY PICKETT & 
deeded from him to JAMES PICKETT who deeded to AMOS PARKER & from sd. PARKER 
to JAMES BATTS who deeded to JEREMIAH WILLIAMS & from him to sd. FOUNTAIN; (2) 
75A beg. at a pine on PICKET'S line WILLIAMS' corner, through the Dark Ponds 
to a water oak, to a stake on PICKET'S line. The last 75A was sold from 
CHARLES GOFF to AMOS PARKER who deeded to JAMES BATTS & from sd. BATTS to 
JEREMIAH WILLIAMS & from him to NATHAN FOUNTAIN.
