 15 Nov. 1783 -- SAMEUL WARD to ROBERT BROCK, both of Duplin, for 10 pounds, 
320 acres whereon sd BROCK now lives, head of Poley Branch between Northeast 
and Goshen Swamp beginning at a stake in center of 3 pines to pine on ARTHUR 
HERRING's line, to a pine on SULLIVAN'S line, being upper half of a tract of 
640 acres granted to said WARD by patent 1 April 1780. Witness: W. DICKSON, 
JOHN DICKSON. Proved July Ct. 1784
