Duplin County, NC - Samuel J. Williams to Nathan Garner, 1831 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Indenture made this 10 Jan 1831 between Samuel J. Williams of Duplin County, NC of the one part for the sum of $600 in hand paid by Nathan Garner of Duplin County of the second part, said Samuel J. Williams do sell and convey unto the said Nathan Garner a parcel or tract of land situated in Duplin County and lying on the north side of the northeast River and on the west side of the Buck Marsh, beginning at a pine at the edge of said Marsh and runs south 74 west 123 poles to a stake, then south 74 west 20 poles to a stake, then north 34 west 9 poles to the old line, thence south 74 west 72 poles to a stake on the old Rogers patent line, then north 15 east 281 poles to a stake on John Herring corner, thence south 74 east 45 poles to a stake on the given line in Buck Marsh, thence down the marsh joining William Outlaw's line to the beginning and containing 275 acres being a part of a patent granted to James William Rogers and since conveyed to Henry Grady and by the death of Henry Grady fell to heirship of Timothy Grady and since conveyed to Samuel J.
