Witnesseth that the said Thomas WORLEY for and in consideration of the Sum of twenty pounds proclamation money to him in hand paid by the said John WILLIAMS, the Receipt whereof I the said Thomas WORLEY doth hereby Confess and acknowledged that the said T homes WORLEY hath Granted, bargained and Sold the said John WILLIAMS and his heirs and assigns forever One parcel of land Containing One hundred and twenty acres lying and being i in the County of Duplin and province aforesaid N. Carolina on the south side of Panther Swamp including the Improvements beginning at a Cypress in the run of Panther swamp below the Plantation Running S 124 poles to a pine at near CATKINS line thence E 204 poles to a pine thence S 65 E 120 poles to a pine at the Mouth of Gum Branch by Mr. MCULLOCK’S Corner thence N 25 E 20 poles to a Black Gum by the Run in Panther Swamp thence down the meanders thereof both Beginning Patent Bearing Date the 19th day of April one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Three, 1763. To have and to hold each and Singular every part and parcel to their only proper use and behoof without any interruption of the said Thomas WORLEY him his heirs executors administrators or assigns or any other person whatsoever the said John WILLIAMS paying to his Majesty and his Successors the Yearly Reserved Quit Rents of four shillings proclamation money per Hundred as is in the Patent is Reserved and further now that the said Thomas WORLEY him his heirs and assigns doth make the sum clear of an other Bargains, Sales, Grants Eases Mortgages, Jointers?, Dowries, entails, Rents and acreages of Rents and of all other Encumbrances Whatsoever to be had made it one or committed By the said Thomas WORLEY or any other person Whatsoever Claiming or to Claim and Further that the said Thomas WORLEY and his heirs and all other persons Whatsoever, his or their anything hereof from time to time and at all times hereafter, Warrant and defend the above Bargained premises to the said John WILLIAMS and to his heirs and assigns forever to their only proper use and behoof.
