Whitfield, Joseph P., Private
Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops
Resided in Duplin County and enlisted at Orange Court House, Virginia at age 
25, April 7, 1863, for the war. Retired to the Invalid Corps on December 22, 
1864.
