Petition humbly sheweth that he served as a Sergeant three years in the Sixth Regiment of the line of said State, of Contintental Troops, as well appear by the Muster Rolls, for which service he has never received any compensation and that he has never wold or given a power to draw the same. That your petitioner applyed to the late board of Commissioners for liquidating army accompts at Hillsborough and it appeared John Marshal Dickson had drawn his pay. Your petitioner therefore humbly requests that your Honourable body will take his case into consideration and allow him the pay justly due him, or prescribe such other way whereby he may obtain redress. July 9th, 1795 Duplin County This day Warren Blount appeared before me James Kenan one of the Justices for the said county and made oath on the Holy Evanglist of Almighty God that he never give or sold his pay as a Contintental sergant in the Sixth regiment to John M.
