The First Baptist Church in Magnolia, North Carolina (Duplin and Sampson County). He was an ordained Deacon. He was reared with his other siblings under God fearing, God loving parents. The late Solomon and Quessie Mathis Chestnut. He was born April 12, 1885. They preceded him in death. On Monday March 19, 1979 the good Lord dispatched his Angles from glory to come down and take our love from this earth to his reward on high. He met and married Lonnie Johnson Robinson, from this union four children were born, two daughters and two sons. After the death of his wife in 1950, he moved to Philadelphia, PA to be with his daughters, and their families. He died at the home of his daughter, Lucy Mae, at the age of 93. He was affiliated with Baptist Churches of Philadelphia, PA. He leaves to cherish his memories and home going: three daughters, Virginia Stokes of Clinton, NC, Lucy Mae Moore, Hattie (Julius) Teachey of Philadelphia, PA. Two sons: Leo James Robinson of Washington, DC and Sidney Chestnut of Philadelphia, PA. Three sisters, Vera Chestnut, Nina Brown and Hettie Swinson of Philadelphia, PA, and a brother, King Chestnut of Philadelphia, PA. 5 sisters-in law, 2 brothers-in-law, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
