We regret to hear from several communications before us, received this morning, of the unexpected death of MR. DAVID KELLY, by lightning. It appears MR. KELLY and his wife had been in the field to dig some potatoes, after which MRS. KELLY returned to the house, and MR. KELLY went in search of his cattle. MR. KELLY not returning as expected, his wife became uneasy, and search having been made for her husband for several hours, he was finally found about 10 o'clock at night, a quarter of a mile from his dwelling, resting on his knees with one arm lying over a log. On Tuesday CORONER LUKE KORNEGAY called a jury of inquest over the body. They returned a verdict that the deceased came to his death by a stroke of lightning. It is proper to say that the jury was assisted by DRS. DEVANE and BROADHURST, in their examinations. The deceased was a highly respectable citizen of Duplin, and his unexpected death has case a gloom over the neighborhood. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his death. --"Wil.
