ELEANOR 'MICKIE' BRINKLEY-CAPPS Mickie's sweet spirit left her earthly body to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 15, 1999. Mickie was the music director of Epworth United Methodist Church for the past several years, and found true happiness in praising her Lord in song. She was always an inspiration to her choir and anyone who knew Mickie felt as though they could claim an angel as a friend. She left hearts aglow wherever she went. She was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 8, 1948, daughter of the late Wiliam Millen Woodward Jr. and Rovene Williams Woodward. Survivors include her husband, Ronald A. Capps of the home; two sons, Joshua Ryan Brinkley of Wilmington, N.C., and Jacob Elliott Brinkley of the home; one sister, Peanie Smith and husband, Jim of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, William Matthew Woodward of Raleigh, N.C.; a grandmother, Peanie Blizzard of Beulaville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, February 19, 1999 at Epworth United Methodist Church by Rev. Margaret Hockett. Interment will follow in East Duplin Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be E.C. Tyre, Randy Wagner, Gary Reeves, Pat Couse, Cameron Coburn, and Steve Berg Sr. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. T hursday at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel.
