Died
In Kenansville, Duplin county, on the morning of the 10th inst. after a short
but painful illness, James D Southerland, in the eighteenth year of his age. Mr
Southerland was a moral and upright young man, and beloved by all who knew him.
He became a member of the Baptist Church, about two years ago, since which time,
he has been an orderly and consistent member. He has left a mother, several
sisters, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
