Mr. Widmer had never fully recovered from injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier in the year. The deceased was born on March 4, 1881, in Delaware, N.J., the son of the late Abraham and Elizabeth Price Widmer of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. At the time of his death he was 66 years of age. For the quarter-century preceding his death Mr. Widmer had been superintendent of logging operations for the Camp Manufacturing Company, first at Wallace, N.C., until the closing of the mill there, then at Franklin for ten years, and finally at Windsor, N.C., where he had charge of logging in that section. He was a member of the Windsor Methodist Church (as long as he resided in Franklin he was a member of High Street Methodist Church and of the R.M. Chandler Bible Class.)
