Alexander HINES to Grand Daughter, Elizabeth Bethel OGLESBY, both of Duplin Co., 
NC - Deed of Gift
23rd June 1857

This Indenture made and entered into this the 23rd day of June A. D. 1857 
between Alexander HINES of the County of Duplin, State of North Carolina and 
Elizabeth Bethel OGLESBY, daughter of Charles M. OGLESBY and Grand Daughter of 
said Alexander HINES. Witnessed that for the love and Natural affection which I 
the said Alexander HINES have and — towards my said Grand daughter Elizabeth 
Bethel OGLESBY and for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand 
paid the receipt of which I hereby acknowledge have given and granted and by 
these presents give & grant unto the said Elizabeth Bethel OGLESBY one Bed and 
Bedstead and furniture, one small table & one Chest now at my house to have and 
to hold forever —— only my life Estate there ever. In Witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of June A.D. 1857  in presence of:
