Benjamin ROCHELLE to Catherine LANIER MURRAY, of Duplin Co., NC
23 Oct. 1860

This Indenture made on the twenty third day of October in the yea row our 
Lord 1860. Between Benjamin ROCHELLE of the State of North Carolina and 
County of Duplin of the one part and Catherine MURRAY of the County and 
State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that I, Benjamin ROCHELLE, for 
and in consideration of fifty dollars paid to me in hand by the aforesaid 
Catherine MURRAY, have this day Bargained, sold, and set over to the 
aforesaid Catherine MURRAY her heirs and assigns all my right title claim 
and interest on the last Will of James MURRAY, dec’d late to the county and 
State aforesaid, this being the interest of Benjamin ROCHELLE, Bought of 
Catherine LANIER, this interest being on the Will. Witnessed by S.C. JONES 
and Wm. SHOLAR which Interest I, Benjamin ROCHELLE warrant and defend to 
Catheirne MURRAY her heirs and assigns, To have and to hold free and clear 
of Just or Lawful claim of any person or persons whomsoever. In Witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal.
